Swedish Chef Teaches the Art of Swedish Pancake Making

A retired Swedish chef picked up the ladles and spatulas again recently in the kitchen of the Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical School in Albany to teach the fine art of Swedish pancake making.

Chef Anders Faltskog shared his lifelong passion and knowledge with students in the Capital Region BOCES Culinary Tech Prep program on May 8 and 9. The students created a full meal of Swedish delicacies that they served on May 9 to faculty and staff of Capital Region BOCES.

Faltskog is a retired executive chef that spent many years teaching at Capital Region BOCES. He returns often to guide students in creating Swedish delicacies.

Students in the Capital Region BOCES Culinary Tech Prep program earn high school and college credits through SUNY Schenectady. The students are prepared to enter the culinary world at many different levels, some pursuing careers as head chefs or master bakers, others as nutritionists.
