October 27, 2016Peaceful Acres Horses to Host Fundraiser
Please join Peaceful Acres Horses this Saturday, 10/29/16 from 3-7PM for a special fundraising event at 3740 Rynex Corners Road, Pattersonvill. Through the dedication of volunteer efforts, Peaceful Acres Horses will be hosting an Italian Food themed community dinner featuring delicious pasta fare and a variety of meatballs, including offerings for vegan and vegetarian palates. Taste a variety of craft beers and wines, and enjoy some savory desserts as we raise funds to geld a number of our new stallion residents who represent several of our recent rescues. You just might meet your new forever horse here too as several are ready for adoption.
The event will take place in the yurt located on Peaceful Acres beautiful and spacious grounds. Please bring a jar filled with coins. The spare change you have will help to cover the costs of gelding and veterinary care for the rescues. Don’t have a jar of coins? No problem, a suggested donation of $15- will be graciously accepted instead. The event will kick off with a sanctuary tour to meet the rescues at 3:15PM, with dinner, refreshments and fun social time to follow. There is a 50/50 Raffle and a “Pick a Prize from PAH Raffle” that boasts a wide variety of raffle baskets and items.
Peaceful Acres Horses is a not-for-profit organization that is instrumental in rescuing at risk equine from being killed and used for food. Executive Director and Founder, Nanci Beyerl, stated, “It costs Peaceful Acres Horses approximately $350- to geld each of the stallions that come to us. This investment in these horses allows us to keep them healthy and make them much more adoptable, which is a huge part of our mission, to rescue, restore and rehome these sweet souls to their forever homes. Responsible equine ownership begins with non-breeding practices and this is something at PAH our team feels very strongly about.”
This is a rain or shine event and the Peaceful Acres Team and the herd look forward to meeting all their new friends! Peaceful Acres also collect redeemable bottles too as part of our “Hydrate for Hay to feed our Horses” on-going initiative. Please feel free to bring your recyclable bottles too as a donation.
