Crossroads Center for Children Announces Events for Giving Tuesday

For the eighth consecutive year, Crossroads Center for Children, Crossroads Center for Children will participate in Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Giving Tuesday was established in 2012 as global day dedicated to charitable giving all over the world. It connects the forces of nonprofits throughout the world and through our local community, raising awareness and essential funds for the work nonprofits do.

“We look forward to this day as an opportunity to have our message seen and our mission supported financially by kind people that want to help,” said Kelly Young, Executive Director. As a fundraiser the day helps us meet our annual budget. Crossroads serves upwards of 120 children and families each year, and to do so we need lots of community support. She added that, “We also participate as part of our belief in creating a community of philanthropy, and fostering community in our students and team.”

Giving Tuesday begins Crossroads Center for Children’s annual giving campaign for 2020-21.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year will be different from past years in that our event will be all online, including a Facebook Auction group and a video-thon. Participants and those interested in learning more about Crossroads Center for Children’s unique and comprehensive programs for children and families with autism and other special learning needs are invited to visit www.crossroadcenter.org.

On Giving Tuesday the center will be hosting a video-thon of some of our most loyal supporters. Visit our Facebook page where videos on Giving Tuesday will be streamed, so our community can meet and learn about each other.
