The Capital Region YPN is teaming up with @foodbankneny at our second Slices with CEOs event on Tuesday, October 22nd (link in bio).

This event will be held at Frog Alley in Schenectady, NY starting at 5:30pm.

A collection of food and hygiene products will be collected at this event. Low sodium, low sugar, and whole grain foods are preferred. Pop-top cans are helpful. All items must be in its original packaging, unopened, and not expired. PLEASE no glass jars or pet food.

Your support will make it possible for the Regional Food Bank to provide vital food and service to over 350,000 people per month!

What is your favorite spot in Schenectady? "I was born and raised in Schenectady, so there are many spots! But if you were to say to me “What do you want to do tonight in Schenectady?,” it would be a tie between two things – 1. Have dinner with my wife Diana at Armando's or Cornell's. 2 – Go watch a Schenectady High School Basketball game at the Pat Riley Sports Center! Go Patriots!"

Capital Region YPN is teaming up with @togetherforyouthny at our First Slices with CEOs event on Tuesday, October 1st! (Be sure to sign up using the link in bio!)

A collection of personal hygiene items will be collected to support youth who are transitioning to care in foster or group home environments. Together for Youth can help children find a sense of comfort and belonging by ensuring that their basic needs are met in a new setting.

About Together for Youth (TFY):
Together for Youth (formerly Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth) is a child welfare organization serving New York State, with the mission of empowering youth and families to live safely, independently, and productively in their communities. Today, TFY provides an array of responsive care right where children and families need it most, in their homes and communities.

Last year, more than 5,800 youth and families were served by TFY services.

Refugee & Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus (RISSE) was founded in 2007 to assist refugees fleeing from the Congo. Today, RISSE’s clients originate from 85 countries and speak over 40 languages. My brother and I spent five years working on our first video game in high school and early part of college.

Over that time, the market shifted and technology advanced.

We had to keep increasing scope and quality to keep up - and we honestly couldn’t. If we kept our scope small and just got our first game out there sooner, we could have made the next one and the next one - that much quicker - and learned faster.
