About Leadership Capital Region

Through a series of thought-provoking session days, Leadership Capital Region (LCR) develops the leadership potential of participants and builds a solid foundation of informed, action-orientated and productive employees and citizens.

The program begins with a two-day overnight retreat in early fall. Eight subsequent sessions are held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first or second Friday of each month from October through May, followed by a graduation ceremony in June.

The monthly sessions are themed around various elements of our community to serve as a catalyst for expanding awareness and involvement. Components of the sessions include keynote speakers, panel discussions, tours and interactive learning opportunities. Each session offers a unique opportunity for participants to have an inside look at some of the area’s most innovative organizations; connect to top business, government and civic leaders; and enhance their professional networks.

Leadership Capital Region unites individuals from diverse fields and backgrounds to learn more about themselves as leaders and how to best serve their organizations and community.
