Ms. Jones was appointed Deputy Commissioner for Administration at NYS Department of Civil Service (DCS) in April 2019. DCS’s mission is to build tomorrow’s workforce today by promoting a diverse, inclusive, and talented workforce. As the Deputy Commissioner for Adminstration, Jones provides overall direction to the Office of Financial Administration, responsible for agency fiscal management, including budget preparation and the monitoring of accounts, and the Office of Human Resources and Administrative Planning, which oversees programs and policies relating to the employment of DCS personnel.

Prior to Jones’ appointment at NYS DCS, she led YWCA of the Greater Capital Region, Inc. in Troy, NY as Executive Director for more than five years with unwavering passion, devotion, charisma, strategy and vision. Jones also served on various committees, boards, and councils such as City of Troy Ethics Commission (appointed by Mayor Patrick Madden), Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Key Bank Advisory Council.

Ms. Jones is a 2011 graduate of the Sage Colleges Graduate School of Management and holds a bachelor’s degree in crime and justice policy from The Sage Colleges of Albany as well as an associate degree in human services from Hudson Valley Community College.
