The Resourceful Women’s Awards were established in 2000, to recognize and honor women whose community and professional pursuits advance the empowerment of women, a core element of YWCA of the Greater Capital Region’s mission. ”We are honored and proud to recognize this year’s honorees,” said Starletta Smith, YWCA- GCR Interim Executive Director.

In addition to honoring Daquetta P. Jones, Deputy Commissioner for Administration at New York State Department of Civil Service, as the Woman of the Year and sixteen honorees, the Awards Luncheon will recognize the 2019 Woman of Inspiration and Community Partner Award recipient. It is with deep gratitude that YWCA-GCR recognizes Women’s Business Council as the 2019 Community Partner awardee for their priceless work, compassion, contribution and commitment to YWCA-GCR’s mission, services and programs. The community awards recognizes organizations, corporations and individuals whose generous, tireless, caring, supportive spirits and expertise have provided significant financial contributions and tangible goods to YWCA-GCR over the years.
