YWCA NorthEastern NY and C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios Reimagined Annual Art Exhibit

YWCA NorthEastern NY and C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios have teamed up for a fourth year in a newly reimagined art show called “Together in Color: Celebrating Diversity in Art”. Previously known as the “Inspiring Women Project,” “Together in Color” will highlight unity and diversity beyond gender. The organization’s goal with this exhibit is to continue fostering connections among people from diverse backgrounds and identities while celebrating differences and shared experiences. The exhibit will be open to the public during Pride Month in June at YWCA NENY, 44 Washington Ave. in Schenectady.

The agencies are now accepting applications for this exhibit, all are encouraged to apply. Artists of any age or gender are encouraged to submit artwork that reflects the theme “Together in Color.” Suggested mediums include paint, photography, collage, drawing, clay, and mixed media. The exhibit is an easel and tabletop exhibit. Paintings and drawings should be framed or matted and ready to display. The submission form can be found at ywca-neny.org/artshow.

“We are thrilled about this new vision for our annual art show with C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios,” said Kim Siciliano, YWCA NENY CEO, “Together in Color truly represents both of our missions and how they can come together to create change in our community.”
