Community leaders and supporters recently gathered to celebrate the official ribbon-cutting of Your Luminosity, a new wellness center specializing in non-invasive healing therapies such as red light, salt, and oxygen treatments designed to support the body’s natural healing processes. Founded by Brenda Higgins, the center is rooted in a mission to provide accessible, holistic wellness options to the community.
The event, emceed by Jason Benitez, Vice President of Inclusion for the Capital Region Chamber, marked the business’s arrival as a meaningful addition to the region’s growing health and wellness landscape. Higgins established Your Luminosity with a focus on creating a welcoming space where individuals can relax, recharge, and invest in their well-being through non-invasive therapies. Benitez emphasized that the location was intentionally chosen to serve a diverse and vibrant community, reinforcing the center’s role as a place for both healing and connection. During the ceremony, Higgins expressed heartfelt gratitude to her family and supporters, inviting attendees to “get your cells on” and experience a space dedicated entirely to wellness from head to toe.
The event was also attended by several local and state officials who offered proclamations and words of support. Emma Prendeville, representing the Office of Angelo Santabarbara, presented a proclamation and highlighted the significance of bringing the business to such a diverse community. Amy Madden, from the Office of Mary Beth Walsh, praised the strong family support behind the business, noting its appeal to the community. Michelle Ostrelich described small businesses as the backbone of the county and commended Higgins for her perseverance in creating the new space. Bob Kirkham also welcomed Your Luminosity to the town center, emphasizing the importance of wellness and how the business aligns with Glenville’s commitment to quality of life.
