December 7, 2023Donations to the Regional Food Bank Transform Lives this Holiday Season
Thank you for your support of the Regional Food Bank this year. Because of you, the Food Bank was able to provide 40 million meals to people in need. Your support has a transformational impact on the lives of thousands of people each day, illustrated in this note we received from a social worker who coordinates her school’s BackPack Program:
“Most people can’t seem to fathom the reach and depth of the BackPack Program, but I can tell you that the elementary students’ faces light up every Friday as they pick up their special packages to take home, and the parents of the children are so appreciative of the holiday meal boxes.”
Or this note, from a partner pantry who receives perishable deliveries just prior to distribution through our Just in Time Program:
“There’s a very large group of elderly women who attend the Just in Time delivery. In order to truly understand their gratitude you would need to be present, on many occasions I have witnessed women crying out of gratitude for the food they received.”
