On Tuesday, January 28th, the Chamber, Mayor of Albany, Ambassadors, employees, friends, family and guests all took part in the grand opening and ribbon cutting for Your CBD Store on New Scotland Avenue in Albany.
Owner Connie Medina is an entrepreneur who has previously worked in retail management for nearly 10 years and business banking for nearly 15 years. She prides herself on providing great interpersonal, problem-solving and leadership skills and has excelled in each industry by always maintaining a positive attitude and offering the best customer service.
As a businesswoman, wife, and mother of three, Connie was made aware that her bank employer was relocating and took advantage of some needed time off. She enjoyed being a “stay at home mom,” but missed working since she had been since her teen years. Connie wanted the flexibility to be able to enjoy time with her children while also drawing on her professional and personal skills. The opportunity of opening a “Your CBD Store” provided a perfect fit for her.
“After using CBD products and seeing the positive effects they have had on me and my health, I wanted others to join in the experience as well,” Connie said. “CBD has helped many of my friends and family members. We also live in this neighborhood, and it is important to us. I want to bring this property back to life and what better way to do so then with such wonderful products in a store with a relaxed, calm atmosphere.”
The Albany location is the third franchise for the company in the Capital District, joining the Your CBD Store at 2027 Western Avenue in Albany and 475 Albany Shaker Road in Loudonville. The company expanded to more than 450 stores nationwide since founder Rachael Quinn opened the first store in Bradenton, Florida in 2018.
