Ya Ya’s House Southern Cuisine is back to where it all started for the famous restaurant, downtown Schenectady. Amanda and Mark Thompson were MIA in the city for the past year with the hopes to one day return to the place they call home. The Chamber along with local elected officials, family, friends, staff and local supporters were on hand for a ribbon cutting and grand re-opening of their new establishment. The new location is perfectly located on the backside of State Street at 135 Broadway. The location will allow Ya Ya’s to service its clients well as well as cater to near by establishments like Proctors Theatre. The masses were noticeably upset when the restaurant closed in 2016, but can now have some piece of mind knowing that when they want genuine home cooked southern food it is only a few blocks away!
