Women in Construction Announces WBE Forum

The National Association of Women in Construction of the Capital District Chapter announces their annual WBE Showcase. This opportunity will get WBEs in front of local contractors and State agencies.

When the Governor first took office in 2011, State contracting with MWBEs stood at 10.3 percent. By the end of 2014, State agencies and authorities were awarding 25.12 percent of all contracts to MWBEs far exceeding the Governor’s stated goal of 20 percent. That spending translates into over $1.9 billion in contracts with MWBEs, the highest of any State in the country. In 2014, Governor Cuomo increased the statewide goal to 30 percent – leading, again, the country in increasing opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses. (Sourced NYS WBE Forum Page)

The event will be held on Tuesday March 15th, 2016 from 5-8pm at The Century House in Latham. The cost of an exhibit booth is $250 for members and $350 for non-members.
