Woman-Owned PR Agency Baker Public Relations Opens New Office in Pittsburgh

Baker Public Relations is excited to announce its expansion to Pittsburgh, Pa., opening an office on the South Side, making the agency more accessible to brands in the market. President and CEO, Megan Baker, has hometown roots in the area and is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

“We’ve had our sights on Pittsburgh due to the ongoing revitalization and diversified workforce. The timing was right this year as we plan for continued steady growth over the next few years,” said Megan. “Having grown-up north of the city (Butler), Pittsburgh pride is in my blood. I’ve always had a soft spot for the ‘Burgh,’ people, neighborhoods, sports teams, restaurants, attractions and culture. We look forward to becoming a part of the community and helping businesses and organizations realize their goals through creative storytelling and innovative communications.”

Baker Public Relations has hired two new team members to support client needs from startups to Fortune 500s across multiple industries — Pittsburgh native and sports and entertainment specialist Jim Lachimia, and content writer Leah Rostohar. Jim will also help grow Baker Public Relations’ footprint and manage the Pittsburgh team.

In addition, Baker Public Relations has partnered with the Sofranko Advisory Group, LLC, a full-service hospitality company with more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry and expertise in brokering, financing, operations assessment, and liquor licenses. Baker Public Relations will serve as the agency of choice for the Sofranko Advisory Group for hospitality, food and beverage clients.

The Baker Public Relations team is ready to bring the same passion, energy and expertise to clients in Pittsburgh and is hiring hard working and resourceful PR professionals in Pittsburgh to support agency growth. Visit our career page for available positions.

Last month, Megan Baker took a couple of team members from the firm to visit the new office, tour the city, take in a Steelers game and meet with local companies. We’ve hit the ground running and can’t wait to make our mark on Pittsburgh.
