March 7, 2019Wojeski CPA Firm Forms Strategic Alliance with DeChants, Fuglein, & Johnson LLP
Wojeski & Company CPAs, PC has formed a strategic alliance with the Albany CPA firm of DeChants, Fuglein, & Johnson LLP (“DF&J”) in order to provide expanded service offerings to the clients of each firm.
Founded in 1970 by Sidney Roth and Louis DeChants as Roth & DeChants, DF&J currently has 13 employees. Wojeski & Company was founded in 1991 by David Wojeski and currently has 37 employees.
“We’re pleased to be partnering with DeChants, Fuglein, & Johnson,” according to David Wojeski. “I’ve known the current partners for many years. They are true professionals who share our firm’s values of client service, technical expertise, and integrity. This partnership will strengthen both firms and add value to all of our clients without impacting our unique culture.”
Principals in both firms sought out the alliance because “a larger organization will allow us to provide a wider array of services to our clients…and will also allow our associates to benefit from stronger career opportunities,” according to a statement.
DF&J partner David Johnson noted that the alliance with the larger firm “will add to both our capacity and our technical capabilities. In addition to the attest, tax, bookkeeping, and consulting services we currently offer, Wojeski & Company has particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, business valuation, forensic accounting, and international tax.”
He added that DF&J “conducted an extensive search within the Capital Region before finding the right opportunity with Wojeski.”
