The Chamber, along with family, friends, colleagues and supporters celebrated the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of Will’s Barbershop at 113 Central Ave., in downtown Albany with music, dancing and food! Will Aybar opened a second location of his barbershop business, the first is located at 444 Delaware Ave. Will is passionate about helping the community to not only look sharp with a new haircut and other services, but he’s also inspired to make an impact on the community that he grew up in and now does business in.
Will aspires to have an apprenticeship program where kids can learn a trade and have a place to go during the summer, just as he did growing up. Will has said that learning the barber trade literally saved his life and gave him a purpose, and he wants to pay it forward in his community by bringing at-risk teens into a safe haven, giving them work, and teaching them a trade they can use in the future. Will’s Barbershop is a wonderful addition to the business community in Albany, stop in for a haircut and some great conversation!
