March 12, 2019Whitney Young Health to Relocate Troy Health Center This Summer
Whitney Young Health today announced that they will be relocating their North Troy health center in summer of this year. This new and improved health center will be located at Riverside Plaza, 849 2nd Avenue in Troy.
This state-of-the-art, 4,950 square-foot health center is projected to be open this summer. The new location will feature four medical exam rooms, four dental operatories, and an integrative behavioral health treatment option. Through telehealth technology, a number of clinical services offered in its larger Albany site will be made available to patients using the new North Troy location.
“Our team is excited to be opening our new location in North Troy this summer,” said David Shippee, President and CEO of Whitney Young Health. “This is an excellent opportunity for us to continue to provide convenient care to our patients in the Capital Region and ensure that we remain a healthcare resource for the residents of Troy for the foreseeable future. Patients will receive the same great care they are accustomed to, but in a brighter, newer and more inviting setting.”
This new, convenient location will reduce stress put on patients by making additional resources available to them. In the new Troy location, which is adjacent to other retail establishments, patients will have the ability to visit nearby pharmacies to fill their prescriptions and still be able to take the bus line home, as it remains on a highly-trafficked CDTA route.
“Our city is thankful for Whitney Young Health’s contributions to ensuring all of Troy’s citizens have access to convenient care options,” said Patrick Madden, Mayor of Troy. “My administration recognizes the important role they play in the region’s health care safety net, and we’re pleased that they will remain an integral part of the Troy community and keep our residents healthy.”
