Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP  announces a new Of Counsel, Susan M. DiDonato.

Susan DiDonato brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Firm and we are pleased to announce that she is joining us. Ms. DiDonato regularly provides advice to school districts with respect to a broad range of issues including policy development, labor and employment, including contract negotiations, school investigations, employee training, student and teacher privacy and records access, as well as Medicaid compliance matters. In her over 30 years of practicing law, Ms. DiDonato has regularly advised boards and Superintendents on complex school and governance matters. Our Firm’s clients will greatly benefit from Ms. DiDonato’s experience and counsel.

Prior to joining Whiteman Osterman & Hanna, Ms. DiDonato was in house counsel with Questar III BOCES for 17 years and served on the Executive Team. Prior to this, Ms. DiDonato served as Counsel to the New York State Department of State, advising the many different divisions on regulatory and compliance matters from a state perspective. While in that role, Ms. DiDonato served on Governor Cuomo’s Blue-Ribbon Commission on local government consolidation which resulted in a unique approach to efficiency and cost saving strategies across New York’s various local governmental units. Ms. DiDonato earned her Juris Doctor degree, from Union University, Albany Law School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree, magna cum laude, from the State University of New York at Oneonta. She is admitted in New York and the United States District Court for the Northern District.
