Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, the Capital Region’s largest law firm, announces that on March 5, 2020 Vincent L. Valenza joined the Firm as a Partner.
Vincent Valenza provides legal advice and counsel to a wide variety of closely held businesses, business owners, CEOs, and CFOs. Over his thirty years of experience, Mr. Valenza has assisted clients with respect to a broad range of business issues and transactions including the formation and operation of business entities; business start-ups; business expansions through mergers and acquisitions; shareholder, member and partner buyouts; raising capital via debt and equity financing, including private placements; investment of capital in new, emerging and established businesses; real estate transactions, federal, State and local tax planning and dispute resolution; and family business and management succession planning. Mr. Valenza also counsels not-for-profit organizations on issues of formation, operation and tax-exempt status.
Mr. Valenza is a board member of the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York and serves on the Town of Niskayuna Ethics Committee. He is former President of both the Niskayuna Community Foundation and the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy. Vincent has served on the boards of the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce and the Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to joining Whiteman Osterman & Hanna, Mr. Valenza was a Shareholder and head of the Corporate and Tax Practice Group at McNamee Lochner P.C. where he practiced since 1991. Prior to joining McNamee Lochner P.C. he was an associate at Baker & Hostetler LLP. Mr. Valenza earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida College of Law as well as his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation and earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance, cum laude, from the University of Florida. Mr. Valenza is a member of the New York and Florida Bar Associations.
