July 21, 2026Where Smiles Grow Celebrates New Name with Capital Region Chamber Ribbon Cutting
Where Smiles Grow, a pediatric dental practice dedicated exclusively to caring for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs, recently celebrated its new name with a Capital Region Chamber ribbon-cutting ceremony. Led by Dr. Katherine “Dr. Kat” Doherty and a team committed to creating positive dental experiences, the practice provides specialized preventive and restorative care in a welcoming, child-friendly environment designed to help young patients build healthy smiles and lifelong confidence.
The Capital Region Chamber joined community members, local leaders, and supporters to celebrate the practice’s new identity and its continued commitment to serving families throughout the Capital Region.
During the ceremony, Chamber Vice President of Inclusion Jason welcomed the team on behalf of the Chamber’s membership, recognizing the important role healthcare providers like Where Smiles Grow play in strengthening the region and enhancing quality of life. He also shared a personal perspective, noting that his own children are patients and praising the practice for its compassionate staff, welcoming atmosphere, and ability to help children feel comfortable and confident during dental visits.
Dr. Katherine “Dr. Kat” Doherty thanked attendees for the warm community support. A Capital Region native, Dr. Doherty returned home after practicing in Buffalo and Boston and said it is especially meaningful to provide care for families in the community where she grew up. She also recognized the talented team of pediatric dental professionals and staff whose dedication helps create a positive experience for every child and parent who walks through the doors.
The celebration marked more than a new name, it highlighted Where Smiles Grow’s continued commitment to delivering exceptional pediatric dental care while creating a fun, caring, and supportive environment where children can develop healthy habits that last a lifetime.
