The Capital District Women’s Employment and Resource Center (WERC) is excited to announce WERC’s 17h Annual First Impressions Second Chances Networking Event. This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Shaker Ridge Country Club, 802 Albany Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12211.
This will be an exciting evening of shopping, food, drinks, and networking to benefit the women of WERC. It is a great opportunity to meet WERC graduates, who are seeking employment and want to connect with prominent business owners and professionals in the Capital Region.
The ticket price of $75 includes a fabulous networking opportunity, fantastic buffet and vendors selling handbags, jewelry, clothing, accessories, personal care products and more. Tickets for an incredible prize giveaway will also be on sale to raise additional funds for WERC. Tickets are currently on sale on WERC’s website: www.cdwerc.org. All are welcome to attend.
In addition to networking, WERC is collecting gently-used career clothing that will be utilized by the women in WERC’s training programs. Donations could include clothing, accessories, and gift cards. All donations will be given to GreatFinds Thrift Boutique, an Albany-based, nonprofit agency, owned and operated by Equinox. In addition to WERC, Great Finds offers free clothing vouchers to other local nonprofit organizations that support women in need.
