Water’s Edge Lighthouse to Host “We Will Never Forget” 9-11 Ceremony

The Water’s Edge Lighthouse at 2 Freeman’s Bridge Road, Glenville, will once again host a ceremony commemorating the lives lost on September 11, 2001 at its 9-11 Memorial on the banks of the Mohawk River.

The event, slated for 5 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015, will be hosted by Pat Popolizio and Jon Wells, co-creators of the 9-11 memorial, and Chamber President Chuck Steiner, who will act as master of ceremonies.

Featured speaker is Lt. Col. David Panzera, Chief Pilot for the 109th Airlift Wing at Stratton Air National Guard Base, who flew to New York City on 9/11 in support of the rescue mission. Musical guest Demantra Constantine will perform the National Anthem and other patriotic songs. In addition, the event will be attended elected officials; representatives of the military; police and fire departments and family members of 9/11 victims.
