February 28, 2020Walk-N-Roll/5K Run for Spina Bifida
Join us on May 16, 2020 for our 10th annual Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida® and 3rd annual 5k Run for Spina Bifida in Central Park, Schenectady. This event raises critical funds, increases awareness of Spina Bifida, and celebrates the accomplishments of the 166,000 Americans living with Spina Bifida. The “Walk-N-Roll” name embodies a sense of inclusiveness and invokes the sense of empowerment which the Spina Bifida community embraces in all that it does. A belief in a better tomorrow is our vision and the steps taken in this walk and run represent steps on a path to realizing that dream. All proceeds remain local and are used for programs and services for people with Spina Bifida and their families.
5K Event Details:
Registration: Through April 30th: $20. May 1st-May 15th @ 3 p.m.: $25. Day of registration available at 7:15 a.m., $30. Offline forms available for registration. Online registrants subject to donor processing fees (thank you for making your full contribution to SBANENY!). Online registration ends Friday, May 15th at 3 p.m..
Package Pick Up: Thomas E. Picnic Pavilion, Central Park, Schenectady, NY. Friday May 15th, 5 -6 p.m. and morning of.
All registrants receive participant medals, day of race results, breakfast, refreshments.
Pre-Event 5K Prep:

Share your activities with others, discuss the upcoming race, and meet other individuals in the area. Train your own way, or keep an eye out for upcoming planned events including a structured training program and preview runs of the course for those who have never run it before or want a little extra exercise. Basic memberships through Strava are free and track all sorts of activities, including wheelchair use, and gather the information for you. Walk-N-Roll and Friends & Family Picnic
Registration: Online: $5.00, subject to donor processing fees (thank you for making your full contribution to SBANENY!). Offline forms are available for registration and donation tracking. Day of registration available, same price, 9 – 10 a.m. Online registration ends Friday, May 15th at 3 p.m.
The event is emceed by DJ Lou Roberts! Attendees receive breakfast, lunch, and ice cream with their registration. Morning Zumba and raffle tickets will be available.
