June 8, 2017Veteran Attorney Opens Midtown Manhattan Law Office Thursday Evening
Mathew B. Tully, Esq. formed his law firm shortly after escaping the World Trade Center in New York City during the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. On Thursday, June 8, at 5:30 p.m., Tully will help officially open the new, state-of-the-art Tully Rinckey PLLC office in Manhattan with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Tully will be joined by Tully Rinckey PLLC Founding Partner Greg T. Rinckey, Esq. and Managing Partner John C. Doherty, Esq. to welcome guests to the Manhattan office, which will be the centerpiece of the firm’s corporate and international business and financial services law practice. Guests will enjoy complimentary food and beverages, and they will be able to take tours of the office, located at 777 Third Ave. on the 22nd floor.
The event also serves as an opportunity for Tully Rinckey PLLC to recruit lateral attorneys for the Manhattan office. Attorneys looking for new opportunities and practicing in the areas of labor and employment, international trade, commercial litigation, business transactional, immigration, tax and international business law are encouraged to attend, as are individuals and decision makers within the hedge fund and financial services industries.
This continued growth stems from the firm’s ongoing success as a full service law practice throughout its five upstate New York offices. The firm also provides legal services nationally for federal employees, members of the military (active duty and retired) and government contractors out of its Washington, D.C. and San Diego, CA offices. Both Tully and Rinckey come from military backgrounds. Tully served in the United States Army as a field artillery officer, and he was a federal law enforcement officer with the U.S. Department of Justice. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in the New York Army National Guard after earning the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal, among other honors. Rinckey served as a captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where he had many assignments including as a federal prosecutor and an assistant U.S. attorney. Rinckey also served at the Army Defense Appellate Division in Washington, D.C. working on criminal appeals. Because of their military service, Tully Rinckey PLLC became the first law firm in New York State to receive Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business status.
