Vanderheyden’s 185TH Anniversary Ribbon Cutting

Vanderheyden will host the official opening of its 185th Anniversary Legacy Exhibit on Thursday, October 25, 2018 with a ribbon cutting with local dignitaries and guests at 5:30 pm at the Rensselaer County Historical Society, 57 2nd Street, Troy, NY. The curated exhibit includes items drawn from Vanderheyden’s vast historical archives, including period objects, photographs and collectible memorabilia. Following the ribbon cutting and press conference, a sold out cocktail reception will be held that features exhibit tours. The exhibit will run until December 1, 2018.

“Vanderheyden is honored and thrilled to be showcasing this exhibit and sharing with the community our proud 185-year history,” said President and CEO Karen Carpenter Palumbo. Since 1833 Vanderheyden has been dedicated to helping children, adults and families and we are inspired by that long, impressive history today. E. Stewart Jones, Honorary Chair of the 185th anniversary campaign has been a long-time supporter of the organization’s mission. Jones recalls Vanderheyden’s presence in the Troy community: “I am very devoted to Vanderheyden, and I have personally witnessed the impact their dedication has made in the lives of children, adults and families to find a better life.”
