An amazing event space opens in Cohoes – URC at the Venue, a converted church building, offers a unique catering experience for weddings, parties, special events and more! In mid-September, owners Ariel and Maggie Pagan cut the ribbon alongside Cohoes Mayor Bill Keeler, Cohoes Director of Community and Economic Development Steve Napier, Assemblyman John McDonald and a host of well-wishers. The complex takes up an entire city block, with a huge space for some 250 guests plus an entire section downstairs and even outside! “URC” stands for Ugly Rooster Catering. The Pagan family owns two restaurants under the Ugly Rooster name, in Mechanicville and Malta.
