Urban Raid Obstacle Race Returns to Downtown Albany

The Urban RAID Series will return to downtown Albany for the third year in a row on September 12th, 2015.  In 2013 Urban RAID made history as the first ever obstacle race to take place on the streets of downtown Albany.

Starting and finishing inside the Times Union Center the 3.1 mile Urban RAID course will take racers past the Capitol, Lincoln Park and other Albany landmarks. Along the way runners will be asked to complete a series of 10-12 massive obstacles including a two-story high Cargo Climb, Marine Hurdles, Ropes and the signature RAID Series Wall.  Post-race, a consumer festival will be held right on the Times Union floor featuring music, a sponsor village, and the Shock Top After Party!

Urban RAID Albany is open to men and women of all fitness levels over the age of 16 who desire a new challenge. In addition to open age divisions for both male and female racers, Urban RAID Albany also welcomes teams made up of a 3-10 racers

Limited spaces are still available, athletes may register online at www.raidevents.com through September 10.  Registration will also be held at the Times Union Center on Friday September 11 from 4 – 8 pm and again on the morning of the race on September 12 from 7 – 8 a.m.
