Upstate Veterinary Specialties Donates Animal Oxygen Kits to Local Fire Departments

Upstate Veterinary Specialties (UVS) continues to support the greater Albany community by donating FIDO Bags© companion animal fire oxygen rescue kits) to area fire departments.

The goal is to donate these rescue kits to local fire departments regularly throughout the year. Last week, UVS delivered FIDO Bags to the Chiefs of the Northside Fire District/F.B. Peck Hose Company and the Latham Volunteer Fire Department. Upstate Veterinary Specialties’ campaign to donate fire rescue kits for animals began with the Loudonville and Saratoga Springs Fire Departments prior to the December 2015 opening of its new 24/7 hospital at 152 Sparrowbush Road in Latham. UVS owner and veterinary cardiologist Dr. Aaron Wey, the other UVS veterinarians and staff are committed to supporting animal health, recognizing that emergencies such as house fires impact people and their pets in our community.
