October 28, 2015United Way Appoints Samantha Schuffenecker Community Impact Manager
Samantha Schuffenecker has joined the United Way of the Greater Capital Region as Community Impact Manager. She will oversee United Way’s 2-1-1 program as well as coordinate the agency’s volunteer activities.
Schuffenecker has a Masters in Health Policy and Management from the University at Albany’s School of Public Health, as well as a Bachelors Degree in biological science from Connecticut College.
United Way of the Greater Capital Region identifies community needs and brings people, resources and partners together to address priorities in the areas of Basic Needs, Education, Income and Health. United Way 2-1-1 is a free, confidential call to trained call center staff with a database of 7,000 agencies. 2-1-1 offers information on health and human services including food, shelter, domestic safety, childcare, eldercare, substance abuse treatment, mental health services, employment and job training. 2-1-1 is available seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
