November 8, 2023United Fuels Ribbon Cutting
The Capital Region Chamber celebrated the Grand Opening under new ownership of United Fuels (the Citgo Station across from Tops American Grill, Bakery & Bar and the The Pretty Paw Lounge at the 5 corners intersection in the Town of Rotterdam. Rotterdam Town Councilman Joseph Mastroianni joined us along with Receiver of Taxes Diane Martin, and Town Planner Peter Comenzo who, along with daughter Mia representing Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara comprised the first-ever father and daughter team of official representatives we have ever had at a chamber ribbon cutting! Capital Region Chamber’s Pete Bardunias was assisted by Robin Martin and representatives from DeCrescente Distributing Company, Saratoga Eagle, Citgo and others. Plus it was fun to see friends (and fellow chamber members) such as Marilyn and Ankit Sehgal from Halfmoon make the trip over to support their friends on the other side of the region.
This place is well worth the visit if you head out that way or live nearby. The fried chicken is made onsite and is excellent, as was the convenience food items, coffee and beverages including a beer cave. An ATM is on premises, as is a smoke shop (with a humidor full of cigars! I think I have found the place to get my cigar for my annual smoke). And other items you’d expect in a convenience store including maintenance fluids, etc for the car.
