May 22, 2019Union College Women’s Soccer Team Joined Forces with Community Volunteers and Schenectady Day Nursery for Clean Up Day
At a recent Clean Up Day at Schenectady Day Nursery (SDN), 25 Lafayette Street in Downtown Schenectady, some twenty Union College Women’s Soccer team members joined forces with other community volunteers and Schenectady Day Nursery Board Members to tackle winter debris. The Women’s Soccer Team is coached by Brian Speck, whose spouse, Kim Speck (MVP) serves on the SDN Board of Managers. Outfitted with gloves, rakes, brooms, blowers, clippers and other garden tools the group did a clean sweep of the children’s playground and front and back yards of the child care facility. SDNd has been serving working families in Schenectady since 1902.
