UHY Advisors (“UHY”) in Albany is proud to host a golf tournament as part of the UHY Prep Series. UHY LLP has signed a three-year agreement with the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) to serve as the title or presenting sponsor of seven AJGA junior championships annually.
The Albany event will take place Saturday – Sunday, June 22-23, 2019 at Colonie Golf & Country Club in Voorheesville, N.Y.
UHY LLP recently established the UHY Prep Series, a series of golf tournaments open to boys and girls ages 12-18, with winners gaining exemption to the AJGA Junior Championship in 2019. The Prep Series is 36 holes of stroke play, with the field size limited to the first 45 to register.
Tournament applications for the UHY Prep Series in Albany are currently open at www.uhyprepseries.com.
Both the girl and boy medalists from this event earns an exemption into the Ballston Spa Golf Club in Ballston, N.Y. which takes place July 29 – August 1, 2019.
“UHY is proud to support AJGA, an organization that engages in charitable initiatives such as the Leadership Links and ACE Grant programs, in addition to their golf program,” said James Daniels, Partner at UHY LLP. “Over the next three years, we anticipate that the UHY Prep Series events will provide yet another opportunity for junior golfers to earn entry to the AJGA Junior Championships.”
The AJGA has been conducting tournaments since 1978 to aid the growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. This is the first year that UHY LLP has sponsored the Junior Championship, and the first year the tournament has been held at Colonie Golf & Country Club.
