August 20, 2015UAlbany Hosts Inaugural Opening Convocation to Welcome Class of 2019
The University at Albany will mark the official start of the 2015-16 academic year with its inaugural Opening Convocation on Saturday, August 22 at 4 p.m. at the SEFCU Arena on the University at Albany’s Uptown Campus.
Beginning this year, Opening Convocation will be held annually. UAlbany Opening Convocation is designed to celebrate the beginning of a student’s higher education journey. It is open to incoming freshmen, transfers, their families, and the campus community.
This year’s Convocation welcomes the Class of 2019. In the days following, freshmen students will participate in a full schedule of events and festivities, learning what it means to be a Great Dane.
