May 14, 2015Two Principals of Towne, Ryan & Partners, P.C. Present at 11th Annual National Association of Dealer Counsel Member Conference
Albany, NY (May 13, 2015) – On Tuesday, April 28, 2015 Claudia Ryan and Susan Bartkowski, two principals of Towne, Ryan & Partners, P.C. – the largest New York State certified Women Business Enterprise (“WBE”) law firm in Upstate New York, presented at the 11th annual National Association of Dealer Counsel (NADC) Member Conference in Laguna Beach, Calif.
Ms. Ryan and Ms. Bartkowski were among the 10 total presenting groups selected by the Program Planning Committee at the three-day conference, which was held at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. Agenda topics were designed to provide members who represent Automobile Dealerships with updates and best practices, and covered a host of topical issues confronting the automobile dealer industry.
“It was an honor to be asked to make this presentation to our colleagues and to those who practice in the automobile dealership area. We hope we were able to provide some guidance in the ever-changing landscape of employee rights and relations,” said Ms. Bartkowski.
Ms. Ryan and Ms. Bartkowski’s hour and a half-long presentation focused on Legal Updates Impacting Dealerships. The topic reviewed recent National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) case law regarding employee handbooks, the use and regulation of social media by employees, guns in the workplace and medical marijuana, all of which have an impact on automotive dealership owners and their employees.
