A billion immigrants certainly would stress America. Building a wall is one solution. Another solution would be a good tide that lifts all boats. Specifically, two ways for uplifting a billion people are through (1) education and (2) micro-loans. Think we can’t do it? Think again. A headmaster in Africa called to say we had transformed the educational system in The Gambia. And a 1986 graduate of Niskayuna High was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people on the planet for his micro-loan work in India. Think you can’t uplift the world? Think again.
