About the Schenectady JCC’s Israeli Emissary Program

The Schenectady JCC’s Israeli Youth Emissary Program was established over 20 years ago. The emissaries are recruited through a highly competitive process, where thousands of Israeli youth compete for the opportunity to represent their country by working at JCC summer camps throughout the United States. These young Israeli ambassadors contribute immensely to the fabric of the JCC camp program; including an insight into what life in Israel is truly like. The emissaries live with host families in Niskayuna, and experience life in Niskayuna first hand.
