The Sage Colleges to Confer almost 800 Degrees

ALBANY & TROY, NY – The Sage Colleges is pleased to announce that Nancy S. Mueller will deliver the 98th commencement address on Saturday, May 16, 2015. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the Houston Field House on the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute campus in Troy.

Chemistry, Quiches and a Super Yacht – the Varied Life’s Work of Nancy Mueller Nancy Mueller, who grew up in Latham, NY, is a 1965 graduate of Russell Sage College. She majored in chemistry and after graduation she moved to Palo Alto, CA, and joined Syntex Corporation as pharmaceutical chemist. In 1977, Mueller started her own business, Nancy’s Specialty Foods, and began nationally distributing Nancy’s Deli Spirals, quiche and other appetizers and entrees through retail and club store venues. After 22 years, she successfully sold the business in 1999. Seeking new experiences, her love of sailing inspired her to fulfill a dream, and she commissioned Feadship to build a super yacht, which she named Andiamo (“Let’s go” in Italian), for round the world cruising and diving and use as a charter. Ten years later, after touring hundreds of remote islands and countries with friends and family, she sold the vessel and returned to life on land. She lives in Palo Alto, CA, and Hawaii.
