The People’s Joint Ribbon Cutting

Despite the chilly day, our hearts were warm on State Street as the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation (DSIC) officially welcomed The People’s Joint to the community with an enthusiastic ribbon cutting ceremony.  This new cannabis dispensary was founded in Albany by locals driven by a shared love for cannabis and a commitment to top-notch quality and has now opened its home location in Schenectady. From their website, their journey is rooted in strong values, community, and a relentless dedication to delivering an unparalleled cannabis experience. The People’s Joint stands as a trusted haven, embodying respect for the plant and the vibrant community it serves. The People’s Joint promotes access to safe, regulated products that have been subject to rigorous testing and meet safety standards. Knowledgeable staff provides guidance on appropriate usages and dosages of cannabis products that breaks down the stigmas of cannabis to recognize its diverse benefits. A group of community leaders and officials braved the cold to cut the ceremonial ribbon, led by DSIC Executive Director Maureen Neufeld.

Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation Executive Director Maureen Neufeld was all smiles, joined by Discover Schenectady Executive Director Todd Garofano, Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy and Capital Region Chamber Senior Vice President Pete Bardunias to cut the ribbon and congratulate Danny Taylor and his team in the grand opening of The People’s Joint, at 501 State Street.

All 2024 ribbon cuttings of the Capital Region Chamber are sponsored by Community Bank, N.A.
