The Open Door Bookstore is hosting author Rudy Castaldo, who will be signing her book The Race Around the World on Saturday, September 26 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
About the Book
When Nellie Bly read Around the World in Eighty Days, by Jules Verne, she wondered if she could do it in less time. In 1889 people doubted she could do it, but she set out anyway. Could she make it back home in time? This title is part of the “Totally True Adventures” series for ages 7-10.
Nancy Castaldo lives in Columbia County and is the author of several nonfiction and activity books for children. She has received many awards including the Smithsonian Notable Books for Children and the New York Outdoor Education Association’s Art and Literature Award.
