The New York Racing Association Hosts Second Annual Jockey Legends Day at Saratoga Race Course

Jockey Colony and Jockey LegendsJockey Colony and Jockey Legends: Members of the Saratoga Jockey Colony join more than a dozen legendary jockeys in a familiar setting: the winner’s circle at Saratoga Race Course on Sunday, August 9 for the second annual Jockey Legends Day. The afternoon featured retired and returning Hall of Fame and All-Star jockeys Braulio Baeza, Steve Cauthen, Jorge Chavez, Angel Cordero, Jr., Jean Cruguet, Robbie Davis, Pat Day, Ramon Dominguez, Chris McCarron, Richard Migliore, Jean-Luc Samyn, Nick Santagata, Jacinto Vasquez and Manny Ycaza. All totaled, Sunday’s superlative roster combined for 72,867 wins and more than $1.9 billion in earnings in their career.

Day joined more than a dozen Hall of Fame and All-Star  jockeys for an autograph signing to benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund. The session featured Braulio Baeza, Steve Cauthen, Jorge Chavez, Angel Cordero, Jr., Jean Cruguet, Robbie Davis, Pat Day, Ramon Dominguez, Chris McCarron, Richard Migliore, Jean-Luc Samyn, Nick Santagata, Jacinto Vasquez and Manny Ycaza. All totaled, Sunday’s all-star roster combined for 72,867 wins and more than $1.9 billion in earnings in their career.
