The Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) to Host Virtual Benefit Celebrating Philanthropist and Leader Jane Golub

The Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) Board of Trustees will host its first-ever Virtual Benefit on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, from 6 to 7 p.m. Titled Jane Golub: Our Inspiration, the hour-long online fundraising event will honor longtime patron, trustee, and champion for the Museum, Jane Golub. Board Chair Neil Golub will serve as Honorary Chair.

“Jane Golub was a friend like no other to the Museum,” said miSci President Gina Gould. “Her impact on miSci and the Capital Region is impossible to measure. Jane was a generous philanthropist, a leader, and a role model to so many and we are thrilled to celebrate and honor her at our first Virtual Benefit.”

The benefit begins promptly at 6 p.m. EST and will be hosted by three-time Emmy Award-winner Liz Bishop. Guest speakers include Board Chair Neil Golub, President Gina C. Gould, Union College President David Harris, Board VP Michelle Bennett, Congressman Paul Tonko, two-time Academy Award-winning set decorator Nancy Haigh, Proctors CEO Philip Morris, and others.

Proceeds from the event go to support the Museum’s exhibits and events including the upcoming permanent installation of Design Zone, an interactive exploration of engineering design that is slated to go on view in January 2022. The exhibit will be the inaugural presentation in the newly named Jane Golub Gallery. Donations also support the Jane Golub STEM Fund that provides free access for underserved schools to miSci’s educational programming.
