The Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) Receives $10,000 Grant

The Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) has received a $10,000 grant from The Carlilian Foundation to support digital educational programming.

At the onset of the pandemic, miSci began creating and distributing a digital educational program, entitled ‘miSci on the Move,’ which could be used by families and teachers to educate their students during prolonged periods of social distancing. Additional plans are underway to create distance learning classrooms and digital outreach programs. This grant will allow miSci to meet its community’s needs by bringing the wonders of science and technology directly into the classrooms and homes of children throughout the region.

According to their website, ‘The Carlilian Foundation is a private foundation established by the late businessman, community leader, and philanthropist Charles W. Carl, Jr., whose estate continues to fund the Foundation, with the intent of providing capital improvement grants to organizations that benefit the people of Schenectady County, New York.’
