February 10, 2023The Martin Group Showcases Projects at the 2022 MARCOM Awards
The Martin Group took home more than a half-dozen awards — the most of any organization — at the 2022 Capital Region MARCOM awards ceremony, highlighting work from the agency over the past two years. The winners, announced February 8 at Revolution Hall in Troy, N.Y., represent the continued growth of The Martin Group in Albany, which opened its regional office in 2018.
The MARCOM Awards honor the best in marketing and communications, while recognizing the hard work, creativity, and brain power behind each project. Since 2004, the MARCOM awards have become one of the region’s most respected competitions in the industry, with each entry viewed and judged by peers across the nation.
The Martin Group totaled seven awards and 12 finalists, also the most in this year’s competition.

“Knowing how hard our team works every single day in partnership with our clients, it’s rewarding to see them recognized by our industry peers. We’re thrilled by this response and grateful to the MARCOM judges for their careful consideration of our office’s work,” said Jennifer Hunold, General Manager of The Martin Group’s Albany office. “Our Albany team has grown 400% since 2018, and it’s exciting to think about where we can go from here.”
Carm Basile, CEO of the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA), a long-standing client of the firm’s public affairs practice, was honored as Communicator of the Year.
Basile — introduced by Andrew Mangini, VP of Public Affairs — was the agency’s guest of honor for the evening. Both in his nomination and remarks, Mangini noted Basile’s proven record leading a company of vital importance to the public, and excellence in communicating the impact of CDTA’s various strategic initiatives.
