The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Becomes Blood Cancer United

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society — is now Blood Cancer United, the largest global nonprofit focused on serving blood cancer patients, and its Connecticut-Albany-Eastern region is proud to join the movement to reach more blood cancer patients and their families across the Capital District.

“We’re all about blood cancer, so people with blood cancer can be about everything else,” said Karen Hansen, Regional Advancement Director. “This rebrand evolution helps make our purpose clearer—and strengthens how we connect with the people and communities we serve right here in Albany.”

Blood Cancer United has set an ambitious bold goal: By 2040, enable patients with blood cancer to gain more than one million years of life.

The rebrand also includes a nationwide PSA campaign, updated logo and visual identity, and refreshed messaging across websites, events, and social platforms—all designed to improve access, visibility, and connection with the blood cancer community.
