Helene handles litigation in state and federal courts in New York. Helene focuses on retail and commercial collections and has experience in both pre and post judgment collection remedies. She also focuses on provisional remedies enforcement of security interests under the UCC and related statutes, and litigation under consumer protection statutes.
Before joining us, Helene was an attorney at Sciocchetti & Abbott, PLLC in Latham, NY, where she assisted clients in real estate matters. Before that, Helene operated her own practice in Las Vegas and practiced in the areas of bankruptcy, civil litigation, collections matters, transactional and entertainment law. Additionally, Helene worked for the Nevada Office of the Attorney General and sat as a part time Las Vegas Court Referee. She also worked as an in house counsel for a collection agency in Nevada, as a REALTOR® for Prudential Americana Group and as an attorney with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.
Helene received her Bachelors in Business Administration and Accounting from Siena College in 1987. She received her J.D. from California Western School of Law in 1992. Helene is a member of the Albany County Bar Association, Capital District Women’s Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Clark County Bar Association and Nevada Trial Lawyers Association. Helene currently resides in Niskayuna with her two search and rescue trained blood hounds.
