The Hallo-Wienermobile Hullabaloo Rolls into Mohawk Hudson Humane Society

Things are frank-ly about to get exciting at Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS).! On Monday, October 26, the world-famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will roll into Menands for The Hallo-Wienermobile Hullabaloo, a fun-filled  afternoon supporting animals and families in the Capital Region.

From 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Menands shelter, visitors can get an up-close look at the world’s biggest hot dog on wheels, snap memorable photos, and meet professional Hotdoggers Tailgate Taylor and Chili Cheese Charlie, who are traveling the country spreading miles of smiles. The Hotdoggers will also be sharing some of their famous “Wienermobilia,” including iconic Wiener Whistles and other fun keepsakes such as stickers and postcards, while supplies last.

“We relish the chance to have an American icon put our animals in the spotlight,” said President and CEO of MHHS Ashley Jeffrey Bouck. “The Wienermobile turns heads wherever it goes, and we’re excited to turn some of that attention toward the wonderful animals waiting for homes right here at MHHS.”

A Frankly Unforgettable Chance to Ride

All this week and during the event, MHHS will host The On a Roll Raffle: Win a Wienermobile Ride. One lucky winner and up to three guests will have the opportunity to take a short ride in the famous Wienermobile later that week.

Raffle tickets are $10 each and are available now through the end of the October 26 event. Those eager to get a head start can purchase tickets at the MHHS front desk during regular shelter hours, Monday through Friday, noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All proceeds from the raffle will support the animals in MHHS’s care.

A Donation Drive for a Bun-derful Cause

The festivities will also feature The MHHS Donation Drive for a Bun-derful Cause, collecting much-needed supplies for shelter animals and the organization’s Furry Friends Pet Food Pantry, sponsored by Goldstein Auto Group, which helps local families provide food for their pets.

Community members are encouraged to bring donations of pet food, animal care supplies, linens, towels, and other useful items. MHHS also welcomes empty returnable cans and bottles through our Goldstein Auto Group Empties for Animals program, which turns recyclables into support for animals.

Admission to the event is free. It will be held at the Lisa Mitzen Animal Care Center located at 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY.
