The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital is pleased to announce the addition of three new staff members. Please join us in welcoming Dylan Hall, Daquetta Jones and Maryika Stubbs.
Dylan is serving as the Director for Strategic Initiatives. In this role, Dylan will help research, develop, and manage various community leadership and nonprofit capacity building initiatives that extend our impact beyond grantmaking.
He is passionate about working with community organizations to help build and scale new ideas that deepen their impact. An experienced design, innovation, and co-creation consultant, at the core of his work are approaches that help organizations engage with those who are impacted by their services and test new programs. He brings experience in leadership development, social impact, social entrepreneurship, organizational health, and the application of human-centered design principles for social good. Dylan has used these approaches to help organizations across the Capital Region reinvent the services and programs they provide.
Daquetta is serving as the Director for Equity and Inclusion Initiatives. Daquetta will lead the relaunch of the Catalysts for Change leadership program and support various activities to advance the mission of the Community Foundation.
Daquetta is an experienced, charismatic, and visionary leader, philanthropist, community advocate, activist, motivational speaker, mentor, connector, and DEI and nonprofit leadership advisor. She possesses over 20 years of human services and community engagement experience serving runaway and homeless youth, youth in foster care, victims/survivors of domestic violence, homeless women and families, individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, individuals living with HIV/AIDS; and community outreach, and civil service. She is a change agent and activist for Black liberation, human rights, womxn’s rights, and social and racial justice and equity. Over the course of her career, the latter 13 years have been in senior/executive leadership roles, including her nearly two-year tenure working in State Government.
Maryika will serve as the Foundation’s Scholarships and Advancement Associate where she will help oversee our scholarship programs and assist with development, marketing and communications strategies.
Maryika’s new position allows her to strengthen CFGCR’s connection in the community and empower people of all backgrounds to bolster their assets, talents, and skills through education and service. She has partnered with numerous organizations across the Capital Region as a strategic communications consultant to host and produce events and consulted with their executive leadership to improve their communications, public relations, and social media strategies.
