March 20, 2020The Children’s Museum at Saratoga celebrates 30 years with a Gala to Go!
Thirty years ago this month a band of pioneering parents established the Children’s Museum at Saratoga to inspire children through hands-on, minds-on, learning! The institution that was founded with $900 and innumerable volunteer hours has now served hundreds of thousands of children and their families. Parents, teachers and caregivers count on the exhibits, programs and outreach provided by the museum staff to teach children about the world around them, inspire them to learn more and most importantly to build their self-efficacy. Children can engineer solutions to problems, they can draw, explore, create and discover. Parents who once brought their children to the museum are now bringing their grandchildren. Children who once played in the museum are now working at the museum and serving on the board. The museum has served the Capital Region for thirty years and now during these trying times looks to the community for continued support.
Help us celebrate our legacy and continue our success into the future. Our Anniversary Gala is now a “Gala To Go” and will feature takeout gourmet food crafted by Prime, an online auction, online raffle and most importantly will help keep the museum going in uncertain times. The Museum is committed to keeping its employees working while the museum is closed to the public. No more than two staff at a time are working on installing a new exhibit, painting walls, cleaning out our storage areas and creating innovative programming. Help us continue our legacy of success into the future.
Located in Saratoga Springs, NY, The Children’s Museum at Saratoga is a 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to creating an interactive community that inspires curiosity, sparks imagination and nurtures discovery. The Museum is also committed to fostering active parent involvement in children’s learning, to serving as a resource for school districts in the area, and to ensuring that its programs and services are accessible to all children.
Members of the press are invited and encouraged to visit the museum once the museum re-opens to the public.
