The Chazen Companies, a leading provider of engineering, land surveying, planning, environmental consulting, health and safety training and landscape architecture services, is pleased to welcome Don Tegeler as our new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Tegeler will be responsible for all of Chazen’s financial and accounting functions and staff, and he will be a key member of our senior leadership team.
Mr. Tegeler has over 30 years of business experience, including over 25 years as a corporate financial executive in a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, manufacturing and banking. Mr. Tegeler has a proven record of helping companies increase revenue and profitability, and his experience ranges from a start-up, family-owned company up to a publicly-traded corporation. For the past 12 years Mr. Tegeler was CFO of Wolf-tec, Inc., a Kingston-based manufacturer of high-end food processing equipment. Prior to Wolf-tec, Mr. Tegeler was a controller for several other Hudson Valley companies, and earlier in his career spent time in Los Angeles and Boston.
Mr. Tegeler has a B.S. in Accounting (cum laude) from SUNY Binghamton and an MBA in International Business (summa cum laude) from SUNY New Paltz. Throughout his career Mr. Tegeler has been active in a number of community, technical and industry organizations, and he currently serves on the Council of Industry’s board of directors and The Solar Energy Consortium’s finance committee.
