The Chamber of Schenectady County Announces Good News Recipients

The Chamber of Schenectady County, an affiliate of the Capital Region Chamber, has announced the 2020 Good News recipients: Clarkson University, Education Department; Clinton Street Mercantile; Jack’s Place, Jack Falvo III Foundation of Schenectady; JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, LLC; Mangino’s Gourmet Market; Patrick’s Union Street Barbershop and Turf Tavern.

The Good News Awards honor businesses, organizations and individuals in Schenectady County due to exceptional growth; a new or renovated building; celebration of a significant anniversary; demonstrating extraordinary community support; launching a unique product or service in the past year; or just being a true success story.

In addition, the following companies will be recognized for milestone anniversaries: Union College, 225 years; Town of Glenville, 200 years, Town of Rotterdam, 200 years; Merriam Insurance Agency, 125 years; Capital District YMCA Glenville Family Branch, 50 years and New York State Chiropractic Association Albany, 50 years.

Recipients will be honored at the Good News Awards, which will be live streamed on September 17, 2020.

The presenting sponsor is MVP Health Care and supporting sponsors are Lavelle & Finn, NBT Bank, Price Chopper/Market 32 and Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority.
